Frank P. Key & Associates Architects is a full service firm dedicated to the design and execution of architectural projects which are responsible to client needs and improve community through the built environment. The firm was founded in 1991 and has been located in McAllen Texas exclusively for the past 30 years. The firm's philosophy provides for a continuous design process from concept through occupancy, since the design process never stops the final product meets or exceeds the conceptual intent. To assist the architectural process the firm uses the state of the art BIM design software always working in 3 dimensions through the entire project, this true virtual model, allows instant 3d views form any point facilitating input from architect, owner, and consultants. This model can be easily converted in a computer walk-thru for more thorough site contextual presentation. Recent local projects include the H management center an office building and interior, located in the 495 Commerce center, McAllen, Texas. Corporate offices for UBS International, McAllen, Texas. International projects include Andrew Corporation’s 165,000 sf. digital antenna assembly plant Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Local educational projects include a new middle school, Career and a technology School, and a technology center and board room. Regional projects include 4 retail centers in Austin. In the past 25 years the firm has completed national and international projects as part of a
contract with the Army Air force Exchange Service (AAFES). These projects includes 90+ renovations and new construction, like the Main exchange at the Air Force academy, Officers Club at Camp Pendleton, California, food court at Atsugi Japan, a BX Markets at Ft Shafter, Hawaii, and Carswell JRB Ft Worth, Texas. All projects listed were bid projects on which the firm provided full A&E services including accurate cost estimating, and full Contract Administration until owner occupancy.
